One of these is the iconic Gengar, and we're going to breakdown how to obtain a free one within Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!

Gengar is one of the most likeable Pokemon within the entire series, and over the years, they've pretty much appeared in nearly every main-line Pokemon game.

However, one notable issue with Gengar is that it requires a trade in order to be evolved from Haunter. But, there appears to be a work around for this.

Players are going to want to head over to Levincia City, and towards the center of the city, you're going to want to interact with an NPC who has the orange bubble above their head.

This NPC will want to trade you their Haunter for your Pincurchin, which can be caught within most beach regions across the map!
