A new way to explore!
GTA is without a doubt one of the largest franchises that gaming has seen over the year's, and it's getting a brand new release with the remastered trilogy coming to PC in just a few weeks.
Another release that's in the works is a VR spin-off based on San Andreas, which is highly regarded as the best GTA of all time.
GTA San Andreas coming to VR
GTA's Remastered Trilogy was rumored for quite some time, and it was recently confirmed by Rockstar Games towards the middle of October, which pleased fans all around the world.
With GTA 3, San Andreas and Vice City all coming to PC and console, Rockstar is also making entries into the VR space, as a rather surprise announcement by Oculus has confirmed that GTA San Andreas will be playable on the platform.
This development is obviously a shock to many gamers all around the world, as who would've thought we'd be able to roam around San Andreas in a VR headset.
In Oculus's official blog post regarding the announcement they've noted the following.
"Today at Connect, we announced that the Rockstar Games classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is in development for Quest 2. Get a new perspective on Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas as you experience (again or for the first time) one of gaming’s most iconic open worlds. This is a project many years in the making, and we can’t wait to show you more of it."
A release date and actual gameplay is still looming, so we'll be sure to update this page as more news flows in within the coming months.
