Elden Ring is perhaps one of the most anticipated games that have ever released in modern gaming, and with reviews pouring in, its easy to see why.

Like any Souls game, there's always a heavy emphasis on speed running and with world records being shattered everyday, a new sub 10 minute speed run has emegered that has fans attention.

This speed run was obtained by Distortion2, who has been flying off the charts in terms of speed running Elden Ring, and has post sub 20 minute times since the game released.

However, now they've gone ahead and done the unthinkable, and posted a 8:56 speedrun, making it the words first sub 9 minute speedrun!

This is an any % speedrun, meaning all glitches and exploits the user can find and take advantage of are fair game, and there's some that they utilize to the time throughout the run.

Bascially, the order of events Distortion2 tackles is as follows.

• Volcano Warp
• Godskin Nobel
• +9 Upgrade
• Maliketh
• Gideon
• Godfrey Skip
• Elden Star's

There route is rather interesting and forgoes a lot of the main bosses that players will tackle during their run of the game.

But, this is a speedrun after all, and one of the main methods that Distortion uses during this speedrun is the Ash of War, Hoarfrost Stomp, which has been touted as one of the best within Elden Ring.
