Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen have now been announced to be making their way onto the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and fans are amped.

Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are staples for modern-day gaming, and they're the game for many of us that was our first entry in the Pokémon franchise.
Now, ahead of their first 2026 Pokémon Presents, Nintendo has announced the two games will be ported over to Switch consoles.
With it being quite some time since we got to choose our Kanto starters, the Pokemon you'll have the choice between are:
