Mewgenics is the first game of 2026 to really come out of nowhere and immediately become an instant success.

Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel are the two focal point developers behind Mewgenics, with the former being best known for their work on The Binding of Issac and Super Meat Boy.
The game features numerous classes of kitties that you'll be able to use in battle, and as of now the following ones are in the game so far:

- Unlocked at start
- Mage
- Unlocked at start
- Tank
- Unlocked at start
- Fighter
- Unlocked at start
- Cleric
- Talk to Butch once the Sewers are explored a bit
- Thief
- Unlocked at the completion of the Sewers
- Necromancer
- Unlocked at the completion of the Boneyard
- Tinkerer
- Unlocked at the completion of the Bunker
- Druid
- Unlocked at the completion of the Crater
- Butcher
- Unlocked at the completion of the Core
- Psyhic
- Unlocked at the completion of the Moon
